Roseto degli Abruzzi unveils the 2026 season: events, music and culture all year round

Roseto degli Abruzzi is getting ready for an exciting 2026 season, designed to offer much more than a traditional summer calendar.

“Eventi d’Amare” is an invitation to experience the town throughout the year, with a rich mix of major events, live music, cultural initiatives, traditions and new experiences.

A season that starts in spring

The calendar kicks off as early as April, highlighting Roseto as a year-round destination.

On April 19, the first edition of “Una Marea di Aquiloni” will fill the seafront with colors and creativity, offering a joyful experience for families and visitors.

Spring will also host major national and international sports events, bringing young athletes and sports enthusiasts to the town.

Festivals and events in May and June

As the season unfolds, the program becomes increasingly vibrant and diverse.

Key highlights include:

  • the Sunny People Fest (May 22–24), focused on energy, music and community

  • the Roseto Gentile Fest (June 26–28), a festival dedicated to kindness, well-being and meaningful connections

These events offer an authentic way to experience Roseto through shared moments and inspiring encounters.

July: culture, cinema and live music

July brings some of the most anticipated events of the season.

It begins on July 4 with “Diario di un trapezista”, a theatrical performance by journalist Sigfrido Ranucci, followed by the Roseto Junior Fest (July 11), a lively “white night” dedicated to children.

From July 15 to 18, the Roseto Opera Prima celebrates its 30th edition, confirming its role as a key event for Italian cinema.

Music lovers can also enjoy the Abbazie Summer Festival, featuring internationally renowned artists such as Matteo Mancuso and Billy Cobham.

August: the heart of summer in Roseto

August is the peak of the season, with a packed schedule of events and live performances. The month opens with the historic Montepagano Wine Exhibition (July 31 – August 2), celebrating its 54th edition in the charming hilltop village.

The music lineup features some of Italy’s most exciting artists:

  • I Cani (August 1)
  • Serena Brancale and Tiromancino for Emozioni in Musica (August 5–7)
  • the Transumare Fest (August 19–22), with artists including Mace
  • a grand finale on August 29 with a free concert by Francesca Michielin

As always, Ferragosto is marked by the traditional Festa dell’Assunta, featuring a solemn procession, live music and spectacular midnight fireworks over the sea.

Local traditions and community events

Alongside major events, the program highlights the entire territory, with activities taking place in local districts, open-air theatre performances and community celebrations.

Among these, the Palio delle Contrade (August 7–8) remains one of the most beloved and engaging traditions.
