The Cantina Mazzarosa Devincenzi is one of the most important names in the Abruzzo wine scene. Founded by Senator Devincenzi in 1846, this company has a long history of dedication to viticulture and innovation. Senator Devincenzi dedicated his life to the agricultural business, planting imported grape varieties such as Malbeck and Pinot, and was the first to introduce Tuscan-style winemaking when in Abruzzo they were still boiling the must to stop fermentation, concentrate it, extend its shelf life and create the so-called “vino cotto” (cooked wine).
His passion and dedication were rewarded with recognition and awards at international wine fairs and exhibitions. Thanks to innovation and care for its vineyards, Mazzarosa Devincenzi Winery has become a regional reference point. It still produces three typical Abruzzo wines in accordance with its tradition: Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Trebbiano d’Abruzzo, and Cerasuolo. These wines are highly appreciated for their unique characteristics and authentic taste, symbols of the territory in which they are produced.
