Piazza della Libertà is the largest square in the city and is located in front of the railway station. It represents the nerve center of the city, the beating heart of city life, and is divided in two by the State Road 16. The square is surrounded by shops and bars and has been the subject of numerous renovation interventions over the years.
On the west side, we find a modern fountain that contains a large bronze anchor found in the sea of the Borsacchio Reserve. Installed in memory of the victims of the sea, it represents an important symbol for the city with a strong maritime culture. On the wall of the railway station, at the top, there is a plaque with the names of the fallen heroes of war: a tribute to the people who sacrificed their lives to defend the freedom and independence of the country. The presence of this plaque makes the strong bond of Roseto with history even more significant, recalling the courage and devotion of the soldiers who fought for our country.
Especially in summer and during the holidays, the square becomes the setting for numerous commercial and entertainment initiatives.
