Cycle District - Yellow Flag

Roseto degli Abruzzi has obtained the recognition of "Cycle District" by conquering the Yellow Flag, a symbol created by the FIAB to reward the dedication of those Municipalities that put into practice concrete policies to improve the cycling of their territories. The indicators that are considered for the award are:

• Cycle tourism: infrastructures dedicated to cyclists that make the territory welcoming and open to cycling tourism (cycle paths, bicycle workshops, assistance services, rental and guides for cyclists, accommodation facilities that are attentive to the needs of cyclists, etc.)
• Conversion of urban mobility through the facilitation of choosing a bicycle as a means of transport, from daily journeys to leisure time.
• Governance: policies and planning choices that generate services and benefits that together promote a different model of mobility.
• Communication and promotion to raise awareness on the issue of sustainable mobility and to bring citizens closer to the world of cycling through events and initiatives, for families, children, workers and traders (such as the "bike to work day") .
